Pelham Historical Society Meetings

Meetings are usually held on 4th Monday of the month (or 3rd Monday if there is a Monday Holiday on the 4th Monday)
Please do not park in the Beauty Cottage parking lot. There is plenty of parking at the churches.
Who may attend the meetings: Members and anyone interested in joining the society.
How to Join the Pelham Historical Society
How to become a regular member? Come to a meeting and speak with any of our officers, or become a member through our online membership platform with automatic renewal.
Cost of membership:
$1.00 per year for individuals (until the board amends the bylaws)
$5.00 per year regular membership.
$15.00 for businesses.
$100.00 for a lifetime membership.
Membership dues will increase when the new bylaws are finalized.

The Pelham Historical Society is sponsoring a cemetery gravestone hunt on Saturday October 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gibson Cemetery. Drop in anytime. Candy will be handed out to everyone who finishes their hunt!
$1.00 donation (Cash or card) per person with the funds used to further the Historical Society's mission to preserve Pelham artifacts. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time or at the check in table.
Additional donations are welcome. The rain date will be Saturday, October 31st at the same time.
Parking is available at the Gibson Cemetery main entrance as well as the Pelham Memorial School parking lot.
PLEASE NOTE: The entrance to Gibson Cemetery from Old Bridge Street will be closed during this event and no access from that entrance will be allowed.
All persons entering the cemetery must follow the following rules.
Rules:
1) All participants and others must carry a flashlight that must be lit at all times.
2) All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
3) No gravestone is to be touched or leaned on at any time, as this could be a safety hazard.
4) All persons entering the cemetery must sign a waiver protecting the Town of Pelham, the Cemetery Department, the Pelham Historical Society and all members of said groups from any lawsuit thereby indemnifying them from any responsibility for any injuries or lost possessions.

Summer & Fall 2026 Schedule
We will have the upstairs museum open every Saturday this summer from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Always free admission!
We will also be open from 8:00am-4:30pm on Old Home Day on September 19th.
We have a small gift shop available with the items listed in our online store, ready to be purchased in person. We also have a lot of 250th memorabilia available for sale.
The basement museum and research room will be open when volunteers are available. Otherwise, it can be visited by appointment. We are tirelessly working on building a catalog of materials to make research easier. Until then, browsing will be necessary.
